Midweek Dinner and Discipleship for All Ages

Join us for Boost, Wednesdays from 5:45-8:00 pm, September 28-November 16.

Boost returns this fall with a chance for everyone to enjoy fellowship and grow their faith! Join us Wednesdays, September 28-November 16. Dinner will be available for everyone starting at 5:45 pm, then we'll break into age-specific groups for study and discussion from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Adults will engage in DEFINED, a video study that will help us understand our identity in Christ. Scripture teaches that we're all made in the image of God. We don't define ourselves; the Creator does. This study will reveal biblical answers to foundational questions of identity so we can discover all God has called us to be.

Children grades Kindergarten-6th grade will participate in their own version of DEFINED where they will discover who God created them to be and what is true about their identity because of a relationship with Jesus. Preschoolers will also have a fun video lesson each week.

Teens will have time to gather in the Student Loft to decompress from their day and hang out with their friends. They can use this time to play games, complete homework, watch a movie, or catch up with their youth leaders. A short lesson may accompany this time together, but our overall goal is to provide a safe space for teens.

When you click the link you will be asked to log in first using a PIN that is unique to you.  You probably don't know your PIN yet but that is ok -- on your request it will send the PIN to your email address or phone.  That PIN will stay the same week after week so you only need to do that part once.

Once logged in you will be able to select each member of your family and indicate their attendance status.  When you've entered all the information you can click a red PRINT button and those who you have flagged as being in Kid City will have name tags printed and ready when you arrive.

Note that so far this only works for families for whom we already have contact information.  If you are a new student, you will need to check in physically at the church building.

DNOW or Disciple Now is a retreat weekend for teens across the Greater Flint area from November 4th-6th that involves a speaker, worship, service projects, small groups, and games. The event's home base will be Central Church of the Nazarene in Flint. This will be a great opportunity for us to grow together as a youth group through acts of community service while also making friends with those at other churches in the area. The theme this year is Limited, where we'll look at where our identity lies and how to recognize God in our story.

The Mercy Team

You are welcome to join us at our next meeting Monday, October 3rd at 7pm! Come and see how you can assume a vital role in our acts of compassion in the church and our community! We are always looking for new faces!

The Mercy Team is the core of missional and outreach programs. This team leads our congregation in the many ways we serve the community.

The Mercy Team believes that God has prepared good works in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We know that the journey of following Jesus includes caring for the people he loves. So, we look for opportunities to encourage one another, individually and corporately, to outbursts of love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

Our focus is on meeting needs in our community both through planned projects and taking care of incidental situations as they arise. We enjoy several connections throughout the Flushing school system which allow us to plan and respond in helpful ways. We are also privileged to be part of the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.

Your Next Step: Baptism!

Baptism is a powerful expression of what God has already done for you! If you would like to be baptized, check out the details here!

Baptism is a powerful expression of what God has already done for you!  If you would like to be baptized, check out the details here!

Jesus commanded his followers to baptize those who believe in Him and become His followers.  This is a sacred expression outwardly what Jesus has done inside of you - forgiving you of your sin!  If you desire to receive Baptism, please use the form link below AND see Pastor Terry for a brief and informative conversation.

Parents, if you desire to have your child baptized, we encourage you to talk about that with your child's age level Pastor (Kelli - for children younger than 6th grade - and Troy for students 7th-12th grade).

Snacks needed for Sunday Evening Youth Group

Sign up to provide a snack for the youth group on Sunday Nights!

Youth Ministry needs help providing snacks for Sunday Night Youth Group!  We don't want any hunger pains getting in the way of our students having an experience with the Holy Spirit!! Please consider donating a snack (for 20-30 students) on Sunday night to contribute to a positive experience for our teens during youth group.  There are 13 youth groups from now until the December that we will be meeting, our desire is to have enough volunteers that a family only has to volunteer to bring a snack once for the remainder of the year.  Please fill out the form below and indicate the dates you would be available to bring a snack (you many select multiple dates) Our snack coordinator will be in contact with you to firm up a date, communicate the time to bring the snack and how many students to plan for.  Thank you so much for your willingness to support Youth Ministry!!

Join The Gathering, Sunday Mornings at 9:00!

God is speaking. Do you know how to listen?

The Gathering is designed for us to come together for great conversation around the Bible and life. Join us in person or online at 9:00 Sunday mornings September 11-October 30 for WHISPER. Many people have a tough time believing that God still speaks. The truth is God still communicates with His people, but He often speaks in a whisper--not to make it difficult to hear Him, but to draw us close. In this series, we'll discuss what it means to discern the voice of God in our lives, how to hear His guidance, and grow closer to Him. Everyone is invited to learn and grow with us! Sign up at the link below.
