About Us
Our Mission
Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene exists to share Christ with our community and equip believers within our congregation in creative, contemporary, credible and caring ways.
Our Story
In the summer of 1996, God began to move in the hearts of a handful of people to start a creative new church in Flushing, Michigan. In January of 1997, Darrel and Anne Harvey along with their children; Tyler, Zack and Ally moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to the Flint area. For over a year the Harvey's shared with people what God was directing them to do and cast a vision for the exciting new congregation that would be forming.

By September 1998, eight families sensed God's call to form the core of Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene. The church was officially launched on March 28, 1999. It continues to be an exciting journey of faith, challenge, adventure and growth.
Today we are known as a caring church that is heavily involved in the community.
Membership
We have frequent orientation sessions for those interested in joining the church, and we accept new members on several occasions each year. For those desiring adult baptism, we offer a baptism by immersion celebration combined with all-church picnic late each summer. We encourage visitors to participate and become involved in all church activities.
